Day Gone

The day was the best

it ended in the west

with the setting sun

after a day well-begun

on the run

keeping pace with

the animated ant

kingdom of 6 year olds

& 5 year olds.

They’re figuring out

life while we adults

are still doing the

same.

Learning is widespread.

Our brains are being

filled at an exponential

rate; the rest of our

bodies’ can hardly

keep up.

But we must stop for

sleep to put away

the mess of toys

we have created.
