Watering the Plants

The rain finally came.

You really notice it

when it hasn’t been

here in a while.

Then it’s a big deal.

Inside you know

the land is thirsty.

What a resilient

surface, Earth has.

It knows when to

feed itself.

Sometimes, I think

though,

it forgets

to water the plants.

Nature usually

doesn’t miss

a beat,

most of the time.
