Saying “No”

I don’t want to be mean

and seem ungrateful.

I want to stand my

ground,

and be true to myself.

I don’t want to meddle

in other people’s business.

I want to be their friend.

That means “hands off”.

Everyone has their own

timing.

I don’t want to pretend

to play God…but

occasionally, I step

over that line,

thinking I know

what’s best for

somebody else.

I don’t & I won’t ever.

Saying “no”

and feeling good

about it,

without any other

agendas–consistently,

is where I want

to stand.
