Effort=Success

Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea). Oregon

Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea). Oregon

If I came to an uphill

stretch

and I didn’t pedal harder

I would cease making

progress.

I am outracing no one

including myself.

I guess when my

strength and readiness

for the steeper hills

arrive,

they will seem as

easy as level, or

even coasting, downhill.

Lifting heavier

weights than I’m

accustomed to

increases strength.

So maybe I’ll have to

go out of my

comfort zone,

risking “mistakes”

or “failures” (i.e. not

getting what I

think I want), to

improve my game

& feel less frustrated

that I didn’t do

“enough”,

when I could have.
