Fun

With my determination

to “get well” following

rules,

I’ve often forgone the ability

to have fun.

It seems if I just do

what I like,

at my age,

my responsibilities

take a hit.

When you’re a kid

and you have fun,

you sometimes don’t

know any better,

many times you do,

but you don’t care.

An adult will more

easily get called

on the carpet

for such frivolous

behavior–even if

you don’t care about

other people’s

opinions

all that much.

Still, it can slow your

fun drive down

considerably, thinking

about where all this

craziness will take you.

But you pretty much

do it anyway.
