I sleepwalk across the page.

Stop me–you won’t.

I’ll make it up and fake it

until…well, you know.

The term used to be ‘make it’.

Now, it’s ‘become it’.

After all, you can only fake

it so long until you become

so good at it, mistakes and all,

just from repetition.

You’r gonna learn on the way-

on the job training-by doing it

whether you fake it or not.

Most times others will not know

your inner feelings of doubt and

insecurity if you’re good at faking

it (you got to pretend you know

what you’re doing–even if you

don’t) and then one day you’ll

realize you’ve become it–no need

to fake anymore.  You don’t need

confidence, you are it.
