Walking Dry

I walked between storms

today.

Each step was delicious!

Wearing my running

shorts, I was careful not to

be impaled, as milk thistle

was spreading like wildfire,

in the fields of green.

Clouds wisked by above.

The air was clean & cool.

Nature just is.

No need to perform or

try to impress.

To me,

it’s unconditional love

incarnate–

how can you not like it?

Or wish it was different?

I’m always alert to breaks

in the weather.

Walking in nature is free

therapy.
