Green Grass

The grass waits for no one.

It grows wild with abandon,

rain or shine.

It turns green and brown

before you can blink your eyes.

Nature never runs out of

agendas.

When times are good, it grows

like crazy.

Lean years, it rests.

To be disappointed when

you go out to meet her,

is not paying attention.

There’s a new view each time.

And a new character you

may encounter

opportunistically taking

advantage of a showering

of abundance from above.
