Learning

When you walk up to the plate

the pitcher is going to try to

throw you out.

He’s not going to give you

the easy pitches, the expected

pitches; he will try to

surprise you just when

you’re least expecting it.

That’s the game of life.

The spice.

Not that life or hitting a

home run should be

hard or difficult–you

just have to know when

to swing.

Hard knocks learning

is usually more

valuable than

behind-the-covers

of-a-book learning.
