Seeds

There is a way out

a way through–

a thin sliver of light

signals hope

of breaking through–

a safe passage to

looking back on what

seems so so not

where we want to be.

Planting, watering

and time reap

the harvest–

seeds not meant

for a life

of dirt and darkness.
