Fascination

My jaw is not curved

like the best of the

men, my heart shines

with desires

radiating lessons in

patience and love.

I eat only what is

useful–none passes

my lips to bring

dis-ease, hopefully.

Inside I am lit by

a golden lamp of light

that is warm &

makes all around

welcome–to be

attracted

as moth to a flame

seeks helplessly

the pull of the light

amid darkness all

around-

is nothing

compared to the

fascination of the light.
