Do it now

Manana, later, tonight–

all convenient excuses,

reasons–logic!–for god’s

sake, why we refuse to

do it now.

If you’re that clever

to rationalize tomorrow

or doing it later–to trick

your mind into–

maybe failure–but at the

least, less productivity–

when you’d rather be more

productive, you might

as well do it.   Or”attempt”

it, if you’re of the mindset

of shying away from

a challenge that may

stretch you beyond

your ‘known’ (or usual)

capabilities.  We never

cross that line of our

imposed limitations or

fantasized catastrophe-

if-we-did–what would

happen–“the unknown”.

The outer limits.

So, all messages of

‘later alligator’ need shucking–

and it’s either now or never.

Second chances pass us by

like strangers on the street

or comets evaporating in the

atmosphere–never to be

seen again.
