Running Again

Summer always seems

to wear out its

welcome

before its time.

I’m ready to move on

turn over a new leaf

so to speak

change my MO.

Summer encourages

sameness–

unless you stir

up some excitement!

You know not to

overload yourself

but boredom can

leak in the corners

blinding the now

possibilities.

I can still work on

my tan but I’m

also looking forward

to some precipitous

change for the good–

some alteration that

signals, “we’re up

and running

again”.
