Feeling My Way

I know what I’m doing

even though I don’t

think I do.

I doubt a lot.

A foggy mind often

presides.

Still, I can feel my way

and make decisions

I’m not sure about at

all, and in a clearer state

I would have chosen the

same things, but with

more certainty.

I wish I could trust myself

more before the fact, than

after it’s all said and done,

and comes out fine.

My view of myself is

improving (it was always

there–I just didn’t see it)

so I’m not as concerned

about sabotaging myself

out of some maligned

self-dislike impulses.

The kinder and more

generous I am with

myself

the kinder and more

generous I can be

with others.
