Magical Relief

The fears come and the fears go.

When they’re gone, I know they’re

not real.  They’re only fears.

As a writer, my imagination is

kept sharp & active.

Fears want part of that action.

So when they’re here, I wish

they weren’t.

It probably just means I’m off-

loading some extra garbage

I don’t, & never did, need.

It is reminding me of its

presence, briefly, as it

exits.

So, I’m glad that it’s going.

I would rather not feel

the fears it’s creating, but

I guess the trade off &

liberation–since it has

to be, it seems–is worth

some momentary painful

feelings.

Somehow, I wish I

could avoid this whole

process, but it seems

to be the way that nature

works–her magic!
