Running

Path at Seal Rock, Oregon

Path at Seal Rock, Oregon

I wanted to spend one whole

hour in Nature today.

So, I did that.

Away from most things

man-made.

Trees, grapes, river, geese,

leaves taking the fall

blanketing the ground

in multicolored revelry

everywhere.

I ran back.  Walked out.

My injuries are healing,

so running colors

the whole day happy.

Walking just drains

the plug of stress &

tension, empties the

mind–takes a while–

the spigot is small

so it dribbles out

here and there.

Breathing hard and

sweating when you’re

on the move, on your

feet, is the best!

Nature will catch

up to you, streaking

through the forest.

But it’s inside where

you’re focused, aware

of every movement.

Pure joy, bliss, delight.
