A giant turtle

my “friend” Joan

the doe

hundreds of geese

getting ready for

bedtime milling

crows the other day

would have blackened

the sun had it not

already set, yet

light abounded.

I ran home today.

I saw an older

gentleman in shorts

& T-shirt chugging

along.  He inspired

me to pick up

my pace.

A run is head

shoulders above

a walk no matter

how slow you go.

You breathe hard

& sweat.  Walking

just (mostly) empties

your mind.

Running gets it

all out.
