Kind of Good

Inside I feel

at least someone

recognizes I exist

and even matter.

I could ask them

what they see in

me.

I may be aware

of it, but to own

and feel it all the

time is like a pretend

game.

I’m impersonating

me.  Fooled ’em

all.

I would rather go

right to the source

& not have to

embellish it at

all.

No matter how

lacking I view

what others see

as overflowing

I can only feel

& see what

appears true

to me.

When I’m me

& someone accepts

that, then I feel

kind of good.
