What would happen

if my writing

absolutely fell flat

onto the page for

all to see?

Falling flat

as Flat Stanley

would agree

is not that

horrible of a

consequence.

I can slip under

doors…

unnoticed

if I want to be…

overlooked

if I choose…

or I could plaster

myself against

the wall

for no one to

miss.

Falling flat

as a piece of writing

is not really the

end of the world

like some think

it is.

It’s just the beg-

inning of all

up from here.
