Sun

Love the Sun.

Don’t know if it’s

reciprocal–it just

gives and gives and

asks nothing in return.

Clouds can’t deter it.

It ‘hangs’ in there waiting

for them to leave.

It tolerates storms & lightning,

& hurricanes–all manner

of disturbances to the

peaceful, warm, bright

rays of its presence.

We know it will come

around once again if

it’s been in hiding for a

while.

Maybe even this closest

star to us needs some

time off to recuperate,

too.

When it’s the ‘star’ of

the sky again with

no competition but

the ever-present blue

it creates,

everyone can rightly

worship its power

& magnificence,

making our lives

easier to navigate

and live in.
