The Wind Blows

When the wind blows

you tell it to be quiet.

Little does the wind

know your need for

peace and silence.

Whoa! it says.  You–

little you–want me

to stop my uproar

for your pleasure &

preference?  Umm, yes.

You happy now?

Umm, yes.  Thank you.

Nature doesn’t always

cooperate to our every

whim.  Actually, it

rarely does.

We don’t think we can

control its fury & might.

We can & we do.

At any rate, you need to

speak up, make your

needs known and then

& only then, do you have any

chance of success.

The wind’s going to blow.

Make sure it doesn’t

disturb you.

Tell it to quiet down

when it’s too noisy.

See if it listens…

and complies.
