Write it Down

Thanks for this time

to let myself out

like a dog on a walk

he’s overjoyed

and can’t wait

to get going.

I have so many

breaths

some I want

to put through

my pen on this paper.

If I were to stop

writing my feelings

and thoughts

I think the A-Bomb

would pale in comparison

to what would happen

to my being.

Pieces scattered to the wind

unretrievable

but when I nail them

here, they’re here,

and they come out

at a reasonable pace

not so explosively.
