Showers

My body likes showers.

Warm, hot, cool, cold.

Went for 2 weeks without

one and didn’t miss it.

Now it seems such a decadence.

I believe there is hope when

my body warms up from

the water, then when I turn

it to cold, I’m proud of

myself for being so brave,

so self-disciplined.

I’m a warm addict–

usually always cold.

Until I found cold

showers for at least

5 min.

Many benefits.  I live

in a warmer climate.

So summertime is

a good time to start

& keep going if I

feel value & good

from them.

Cold water is free,

besides.  Just uses

my filter a little more.

Little Lights

I have the privilege of

working with enlightened

children.

I’m supposed to be teaching

them the ABC’s but they’re

teaching me how to live

life.  (It’s about time!)

I hold a cover over them

with my ponderous lessons

in the classroom–outside,

when they’re free, they fly!

I must be braver than

I’ve been and continue

to let them

teach me how to live.

Accomplish

I wanna see how far I can go.

Pushing the limits

I may perceive

deny my access.

Or just to find out.

Someone

had to be first.

It’s a brave stance, relying on

your self (worth-if nothing

else).

To stand up for yourself,

your efforts.

To keep going no matter the

difficulties.  Let your spirit

not be fazed or pierced

or deflated though the

road is rough, uneven-

a challenge to navigate.

Your mind, if ever doubtful

is always amazed at

the ease of actual accomplishment.
